DHS Athletics

Dulaney Families:

We have been allowed to work towards implementation of in-person athletics with a start date of Saturday February 13, 2021 for the traditional fall sports season.

Tryout/Practice schedules will be created prior to February 13 and shared.

I am asking for all fall athletes to re-register in Form ReLeaf. This will allow for the athletic department and coaches to get a better understanding on how many student-athletes plan on participating and for signatures on new forms required under our restart.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FEBRUARY 1, 2021
Form ReLeaf can be accessed using the following link:
 https://app.formreleaf.com/organizations/dulaney-high-school

PHYSICALS

All athletes MUST have a current physical (completed in the past 365 days) turned in prior to participating on February 13. You can access the current physical by clicking the following link.  https://www.mpssaa.org/assets/1/6/Physical_Evaluation_Form.pdf

NEW FORMS REQUIRED

BCPS has also stated that several NEW forms pertaining to COVID-19 must also be acknowledged.

These Forms have been added to Form ReLeaf for both a student and parent signature.

COVID Positive Test

If a student-athlete has tested positive at any time the following must be completed before allowing a return to play. https://www.mpssaa.org/assets/1/6/Return_to_Play_Form_MPSSAA.pdf. This form is also available through Form ReLeaf.

BCPS Entrance/Exit Strategies

  • Cars will drop off students and leave school grounds.
  • Drop off and pickup locations and times may be staggered in order to further promote social distancing.
  • To promote safety, parents may NOT attend and watch a tryout/practice or game.
  • Students must be picked up immediately after practice session has ended.
  • Carpooling is not recommended for non-household members.
  • Students who individually transport themselves or walk are to leave the premises immediately following the conclusion of each assigned workout session.

Consideration for Transportation

As more information becomes available, procedures for BCPS transportation will be forthcoming. See the BCPS Reopening Plan for mitigation and sanitization procedures for the safe transportation of students.

Consideration for Spectators at BCPS Athletic Events

At this time per BCPS, no spectators will be permitted at any BCPS athletic event or practice.

This consideration is currently under review and will be updated.

Eligibility

Student must meet BCPS eligibility requirements for the 2nd quarter report card. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and only 1 failing grade.
