Egg Drop- PROMOTIONAL DAYS AT THE MARYLAND SCIENCE CENTER- Saturdays in October, November, and December 9am-12:30pm

Egg Drop is a promotional event running Saturday mornings in October, November, and December from 10am-12pm at the Maryland Science Center. Guests will use household products to fashion a protection device for an egg that will be dropped off the third floor.
We are seeking volunteers to assist with all aspects of this event. Volunteers should arrive at 9:15am to help set up and are expected to help clean up after the last egg drop. These events usually end around 12:15pm-12:30pm. New volunteers will participate in a brief training session. Contact Julie Burke, Volunteer Coordinator at 410-545-5982. See Ms. Senft for more information.

Help Plant 50 New Trees in Patapsco State Park-Saturday, November 10th 9am-12pm

Please join us to help plant 50 new trees along the Grist Mill Trail in Patapsco State Park! We need lots of volunteers to help dig holes, sprinkle fertilizer, plant trees, shovel mulch, water trees, and put up posts and fences to keep hungry deer from eating the new trees! If each volunteer brings only one plastic gallon jug of water (right from your tap or hose), then it will save a lot of time hauling water from the river!
Training will be done on site. No experience necessary -- only willingness to help! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. Contact Betsy McMillion, Volunteer Coordinator at 410-480-0824. See Ms. Senft for more information.

Tree Planting on Stony Run Creek-Saturday, November 10th 9am-12pm

Plant a tree, shrub, and flower on Stony Run creek! The JFWA (Jones Falls Watershed Association) is planting hundreds of beautiful flowering plants along Stony Run between Northern Parkway and Coldspring Lane. Be a part of Baltimore's first urban stream restoration and make a splash close to home!
All ages are welcome, no experience is necessary! Contact Suzanne Greene, Restoration Manager at 410-366-3036. See Ms. Senft for more information.
