  • March 2017 - 54 of Dulaney’s 185 Key Club members attended the 67th annual Capital District Leadership Conference. This year the club raised $453 in charitable donations and served over 3,000 hours of service. At the Conference, Dulaney won 2nd place in the Single Service category for their Share the Treats program, Honorable Mention for their volunteer work with elementary age children, and 2nd place for their Key Club video entry. They also received recognition for their participation in the Governor’s and District projects, and their contributions to the Children’s Miracle Network. Individual students were also recognized at the conference. S. Lee was named Above and Beyond Club Member, W. Chen was selected to perform on piano in the convention talent show, M. Zhang won Honorable Mention for her impromptu essay, and O. Summons won 1st place for the Oratory Contest.     
  • February 2017 - Congratulations to the 20 Creative Writing students who won national writing awards through Scholastic's Arts and Writing Contest! Of note, two seniors, M. Bowerman and J. Fontelieu, received two awards a piece.
  • January 2017 - Congratulations to the It's Academic Team for winning their playoff match by defeating Archbishop Spalding and River Hill. The team now advances to the semi-finals. 
  • January 2017 - Congratulations to the FBLA team for winning 1st place at the Regional Conference. Dulaney will send 140 students to the State Conference in March. 
  • January 2017 - Congratulations to the It's Academic Team for placing 3rd in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. tournament.
  • September 2016 - Congratulations to the Lion's Roar Marching Band for earning first place in the Marching Unit category at the Maryland State Fair Grand Parade.
  • September 2016 - Congratulations to Dulaney's three National Merit Scholars J. Clark, M. Rothman, and D. Sun. 
  • August 2016 - Congratulations to the Yearbook team for winning the Best Visual Design Award for their 2017 yearbook proposal.
  • July 2016 - Congratulations to Dulaney's FBLA team for their outstanding performance at the FBLA National Conference in Atlanta this summer. At the conference, Dulaney students competed in numerous events related to business, leadership, and computer science. FBLA Advisor and Business Department Chair, Pat Holt, earned the title of "Outstanding Educator from Maryland" for his role in leading the 100_ members of the Dulaney FBLA chapter. 
  • June 2016 - Congratulations to junior J. Talley who was selected as a Rensselaer Medalist.
  • May 2016 - Congratulations to the Women's Lacrosse team for winning the 4A-3A State Championship! This is the first time in seven years that the girls made it to the state championship and the first time in ten years that the championship was won. The game ended in a 15-11 victory over Leonardtown. Photo by John Bowers.
  • May 2016 - Congratulations to the numerous Baltimore Theater Awards won by the Dulaney Performing Arts Department. Awards include Best Student Orchestra directed by Mr. Benner, Best Choreography by S. Gholson, Best Lighting Design of a Musical by K. Fang and J. Clark, Best Featured Actress in a Musical by S. Ruehle, Best Student Direction of a Musical by B. Clement, Best Scenic Design of a Musical by E. Delanois and C. Kansak, and Best Lead Actress in a Musical by S. Raju.
  • May 2016 - Congratulations to the 2016 Wordwright teams. Two of our teams, the sophomores and the seniors, earned All-American status. The freshman finished tenth overall in the cumulative results. The sophomores finished sixth overall in the final test. Meanwhile, the seniors finished third nationally in the cumulative and final tests.
  • May 2016 - Congratulations to I. Haley and D. Garcia for being nominated for McCormick's Unsung Heroes Award.
  • April 2016 - Congratulations to two students, Connor F. and Hailey B., for being elected into two State Skills USA officer positions.
  • April 2016 - Congratulations to FBLA for winning 12 state championships in 7 different events. A total of 67 students have qualified to move on to the national FBLA competitions in Atlanta this summer. Three students were elected to serve on the state officer board for FBLA, including Sophie S. who was elected to be the state FBLA president. Also, congratulations to Mr. Pat Holt for earning the FBLA Advisor of the Year Award!
  • April 2016 - Congratulations to F. Hussain for winning the 4-Way Test Rotary Club Speech Competition. 
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to H. Bauer, M. Riley, and A. Strouboulis for being selected to perform their play "Hot Sauce" at Center Stage's 2016 Young Playwrights Festival.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to F. Hussain (1st place), A. Garman (2nd place), & D. Doorandish (3rd place) for winning the 4-Way Rotary Club Speech Competition.
  • March 2016 - Dulaney ranks #350 overall in the nation, and #247 in STEM in the nation, and #12 in Maryland by US News. Dulaney ranks #377 in the nation, and #19 in Maryland by the Washington Post.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to Sequel Magazine for earning the Gold Crown award from Columbia Scholastic Press.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to Jarin J. and Emma S. for being named 2016 Maryland Letters About Literature Contest finalists. Congratulations also to their teachers, Mrs. Hopkins and Mrs. Goisovich.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to the 53 members of the Key Club who attended the 67th annual Capital District Leadership Conference. The club raised $1151.47 in charitable donations and served 3000 hours of service. The club was honored with the first ever Family Relations Award. They also won first place in the Single Service category for their Tree Planting Project, Honorable Mention for their work with children, and second place for their scrapbook. The club also received recognition for their Membership growth, participation in the Governor's and District projects, and their contributions to the ELIMINATE project.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to the fifteen instrumental music students who were selected to perform in the annual Baltimore Symphony Side-By-Side concert. 
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to the English Department for their performance in the Wordwright competition. The senior team finished 8th nationally, and the freshman team finished 9th nationally on the last exam.
  • March 2016 - Congratulations to Eric Broaddus for receiving the Baltimore County Public Schools MVP Award.
  • February 2016 - Congratulations to Jack T. for winning the Letters about Literature competition.
  • February 2016 - Congratulations to 14 Creative Writing students who earned awards from Scholastic's Annual Art & Writing Competition. Four students won the Gold Keys award, the highest award that can be given, and will move on to compete for national medals. 
  • January 2016 - Congratulations to the English Department for their performance in the Wordwright competition. The freshman team finished 10th, the sophomore and junior teams finished 9th, and the senior team finished 1st in the nation!
  •  October 2015 - Congratulations to Sequel Magazine for earning the Crown Award from Columbia Scholastic Press. Dulaney is one of seven schools in the nation to receive this honor.
  • October 2015 - Congratulations to the 20 vocalists that were accepted into the All-County Honors Choral Ensemble, and the 48 instrumentalists that were accepted into the All-County Honors Orchestra and Band. 
  • August 2015 - Dulaney ranks #571 by Newsweek.
  • June 2015 - Grace L., a senior at Dulaney, has been honored for her exemplary volunteer service with a Gold Level President's Volunteer Service Award.
  • May 2015 - Guidance department chairperson John Komosa was named Guidance Counselor of the Year for Baltimore County Public Schools.
  • April 2015 - Congratulations to the chess team for winning the 5th annual county championship for the fourth year in a row.
  • April 2015 - Congratulations to the FBLA team for their outstanding performance at the Maryland State FBLA Conference and Competitions. 
  • April 2015 - Congratulations to visual arts teacher Jim Kuhlman for being nominated for this year's Awards for Excellence in Education, sponsored by the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. 
  • April 2015 - Congratulations to teacher Jamie Gaskin who was recognized as an "Everyday Hero" by the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation. Read the article here
  • March 2015 - Congratulations to teacher Maria Hiaasen for being nominated as Dulaney's representative for the BCPS Teacher of the Year program.
  • On March 20-22, 2015, 53 of Dulaney’s 222 Key Club members attended the 66th Annual Capital District Key Club Leadership Conference, known as DCON. Our club, which is sponsored by the Towson-Timonium Kiwanis Club, is part of the Capital District, which includes in excess of 15,000 key club members from MD, VA, DE, and DC. Our club as raised $2,010.80 in charitable donations this year and served 3,446.5 hours of service.  At DCON, the Dulaney Key Club and many individual Key Club members were the recipients of numerous honors, awards, and recognition. Dulaney Key Club received the prestigious Key Club of the Year award.
  • Dulaney's It's Academic Team competed against Towson High School and Reservoir High School. The match will air on WJZ, Channel 13, on April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. The team will advance to the semi-final round.
  • February 2015 - Congratulations to A. Jayapal for earning 2nd place in the 2015 Baltimore Brain Bee competition.
  • January 2015 - Congratulations to Junior Lisa M. for winning third place at the Baltimore County Poetry Out Loud competition.
  • January 2015 - Congratulations to The Griffin, Dulaney's newspaper, for winning the gold medal from Columbia Press.
  • December 2014 - Six dancers from Dulaney have been selected for the 2014-2015 All County Honors Dance Ensemble.    The girls were nominated by their dance teacher, Debbie McWilliams,  based on their exceptional skill in dance, work ethic, and commitment to the program.  The ensemble will begin weekly rehearsals in January, ending in a gala concert in early June.
  • December 2014 - Congratulations to the 6 choral members that were selected to perform in the All-State Choral Festival. Also, congratulations to the 2 choral members that were invited to the All-Eastern Festival in Rhode Island this spring.
  • October 2014 - Congratulations to the 68 students who were accepted to the All Honors Choir/ Band/ and Orchestra Ensembles. Out of the 58 total number of string players selected, Dulaney had 19 (almost 1/3) selected. Out of the 24 total Winds and Percussionists selected for the orchestra, Dulaney had 10 (over 1/3). We also had 11 of our Choir students selected as members of the Honors Chorus. The concert will take place on Monday, November 17 at 7:30pm in the Morgan State University Performing Arts Center.
  • September 2014 - The Sequel: Creative Arts Magazine won a gold medal from Columbia University. Congratulations to Mrs. Hopkins and the staff of the Sequel for earning a Gold Medal distinction by the Columbia Press.  This is the first-ever Gold Medal ranking for Dulaney's literary magazine.
  • July 2014 - Julie Marx, a social studies teacher, has been selected from a pool of more than 400 applicants to participate in the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Summer Teacher Institute for the week of July 21-25, 2014.
  • July 2014 - During the 2013/2014 school year 75 students in 3 different Project Lead the Way courses at Dulaney high School qualified for transcripted college credit through the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). 
  • June 2014 - Two of Dulaney's finest singers, Amanda B. and Sarah R., have been nominated for the all eastern choral ensemble which will meet in providence Rhode Island for the eastern national music educators conference next spring. 
  • May 2014 - 1993 alumni Reid Wiseman launched to the International Space Station on May 28, 2014 at 3:57 p.m. The Dulaney community gathered for a launch party which was highlighted in CBS news, WBAL news, and The Baltimore Sun
  • May 2014 - Congratulations to math teacher Ken Nwocha who won the high school division of the Awards for Excellence in Education sponsored by the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.
  • May 2014 - Congratulations to the Dulaney Chess Club. The club competed in the county’s fourth annual system-wide chess championship in April.  More than 190 students from 43 schools participated.  The Dulaney team came in first for the third year in a row. 
  • May 2014 - Congratulations to science teacher Kim Culbertson for being named a finalist for BCPS Teacher of the Year.
