National Honor Society
Sponsor: Ms. Welsh <vwelsh@bcps.org> Ms. Roeder <mroeder2@bcps.org> Ms. Cavanagh <ccavanagh@bcps.org> The purpose of the NHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of Dulaney High School. Membership is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is by a Faculty Council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities. Identification of candidates begins with the release of first semester report cards. Students who have attended Dulaney High School for at least one semester and who are members of the sophomore, junior, or senior class are eligible to be considered for membership.
