Lateness to School Policy
Prompt and regular attendance in school is necessary for students to derive the greatest benefit from the educational opportunities offered in high school. Chronic lateness of students is a disruptive factor to the student's education and the teacher's ability to provide an education.
The following lateness policy will be in effect for the 2008-09 school year:
Unexcused Lateness
- Reprimand
- Letter to parent with a copy of the policy
- Referral to file
- One hour detention
- Evening school
- Administrative referral
Excused Lateness
After five (5) days of excused lateness for illness, students will be requested to provide a doctor's note explaining the condition.

During the school day (7:40 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.) these items are not to be seen, used, or worn:
- Cell phones or pagers
- Radios, MP3 players, disc players, headsets
- Hats, headbands, sweatbands, do-rags, bandannas
